Chandigarh, August 8: The Punjab Police announced the arrest of two individuals following the recovery of 6.655 kg of heroin and Rs 6 lakh in cash from their possession.
Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav revealed that the arrests were part of a significant operation against trans-border narcotic smuggling networks. The Ferozepur Police, acting on technical intelligence provided by the CIA team, conducted the successful operation near the Indo-Pak border.
The seizure was made following a registered FIR, and investigations into the matter are ongoing. Yadav shared the update via a post on X (formerly Twitter), highlighting the significant impact of this operation in curbing drug trafficking in the region.
