The results of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2025 were declared on Monday, with Rajit Gupta from the IIT Delhi zone securing the top position in the Common Rank List (CRL). Gupta scored an impressive 332 out of 360 marks, making him the highest scorer in one of the toughest engineering entrance exams in the country.
According to a senior official from the IITs’ Joint Admission Board, “A total of 1,80,422 candidates appeared for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 in the JEE (Advanced) held on May 18. Out of them, 54,378 candidates have successfully qualified.”

Qualified candidates will now move to the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counseling process, which will begin shortly. Students will be able to select and lock their preferences across 23 IITs, 31 NITs, and several IIITs and GFTIs.
